Tilaquito serves as a multifunctional piece of furniture to provide a surface where the user can easily perform from beginning to end any arts and crafts activity.

Tilaco is a town on the Sierra Gorda of Queretaro, Tilaco’s Town Hall launched a renovation project for their public library, in partnership with the teachers and students from the Tecnologíco de Monterrey campus Querétaro, Industrial design students were tasked with the design of furniture that would help the library users perform their activities comfortably and easier. Tilaquito is a piece of furniture where users can perform arts and crafts activities from beginning to end. Featuring double-sided foldable tables, and a storage/exhibition space in the middle. The entire structure is designed to be made in pinewood, thanks to its availability and lightweight. To provide more accessibility Tilaquito comes equipped with four wheels with breaks, enabling it to be moved around when needed.
