The Mobula gurney provides a comfortable surface and aids in the transportation and bathing process of people with cerebral palsy. The main structure is made with stainless steel to prevent bacteria growth, the cushions are designed with a hollow space where water can be drained

Mobula was developed as a student project, designed by a team of three industrial designers and a professor. The gurney was commissioned by Casa Hogar Juan Pablo, a foundation dedicated to housing and aiding people with cerebral palsy in the city of Santiago de Querétaro. Nurses and volunteers presented difficulties in the process of moving people from their beds to the bathroom as well as the bathing process. Mobula presents a C-shaped structure that enables the gurney to fit into the bathroom and the beds properly, with two railings that can be easily lowered to accommodate the person. The design was delivered to a local manufacturer where the structure was built, the final gurney was delivered to the foundation at the end of the semester
